Prepared formula needs to be fed immediately after preparation or refrigerated within 1 hour after mixing. Discard leftover baby formula after feeding. Powdered formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to an infant diagnosed with immune problems unless directed and supervised by a healthcare professional.
